Return From Hibernation

If the silence between the blogs is any indication, life has been busy and hectic to say the least. To all who have pondered over the long silence – STUFF has been happening and a short version follows:
“MH Visit in mid-November - Bonjour, Gateaux, and toutes les recettes delicieuses!
Thanksgiving Dinner - Turkey, Sweet Potatoes, and Cranberries!
Come December – No more broken patella, but Nasty Brown Recluse Spider Bites!
Christmas Dinner – Confit de Canard, Wild rice, and a bad case of Laryngitis!”

Three days left and the blessed 2004 will be over! The past few months have been like the case of a bad relative, you want desperately out of your house! It has been quite an eventful year and lots of lessons learnt…believe me, waiting in a doctor’s office, looking at the clock gives you a lot of time to think and ponder – “Why is he taking so long?, Should I ask for a refund for making me wait for almost 2 hours? Does he know how early I had to get up to make this appointment?”…and then the moment arrives – In walks Mr. MD and out goes your questions. You turn into this vegetable, your mind is blank, and you wait on every single word that comes of those lips – and then one hospital bill (which is really not a bill!) later, you are jolted into reality…two Tylenol costs WHAT? And this they say is the best health care in the world!! Ahem…..
