Whew! What a day…at the end of it all, the list of things just keeps piling on, and on, and on…actually, nothing spectacular happened – just the usual activities – reading, reading, and more reading!!! And tomorrow will be still More of the Same.
Speaking of which, watched the VP debates on Tuesday (with Warsteiner again!!) and it was More of the Same! Same talk of War on Iraq and the strength of the Presidency, the flip-flop blah blah, and more blah. So, called up SS to find out what the US ‘janata janardan’ thought (although a sample of one, already partisan, isn’t exactly scientific…). The score: Dick, 1; John (Chikna), 0.
If you ask me, they both were quite good at their game – bring it on, baby!! But it was boring, honestly. The answers were like broken records…and interestingly, both didn’t even pretend to respond to the questions (and by the way, the questions were good!!). Dick and Chikna decided: Let’s just not answer the questions. C’mon this debate doesn’t even count!! You ask them about HIV/Aids among African-Americans, both started to speak about HIV/Aids in Africa!! Well, it’s a good thing that the VP-candidates know about the situation in Africa…but to confuse African-Americans with Africa, give me a break!! To top it, even speak about the Genocide in Sudan!!! (Me thinks Chikna just wanted to show he did his homework!! ) – By the end of it all, I was just glad that I had my Warsteiner to enjoy…(someone should tell those Germans that their beer is wunderbar!!)
There is another one coming on Friday – Maybe, this time, I’ll savor a Hoegaarden, instead. And while I am at it, will introduce Sr. to it – it’s just like returning a favor!! A beer in exchange for potato chips and a bottle of Fanta, sitting on the Officer’s Mess bar stool….the iced beer mug looked so cool. Perhaps that’s when this love affair began….it’s okay ma.
