Congrats to SS for getting out of here in good time and with great accomplishments.
Made a fabulous discovery – Non-greasy Chinese Food, good DimSum, and freshly baked buns!! Wonder why the Chinese restaurants in the Etats-Unis serve greasy food? Can it be true that they believe greasy=appetizing+tasty? Times like these, memories of Nanking’s Hakka noodles are met with a response akin to the illustration of Pavlov’s experiment. Yummy!
Interesting to note that all our references of world events have been shortened to numbers – 9/11, 7/7…So much more simple than saying Bastille Day (7/15 or will it be 15/7?). Along with the numbers, the language evolves too – no more ‘war on terror’.

H Aunty,
Maybe you forgot our nostalgic venture into yesteryears in 2001. Nanking=slow service=shave addi=greasy food.
But point taken. Indian chinese has its own wonderous qualities, unduplicatable even in China.
Talked to Mum and CM. No news except Kopi Kodda and WC (both your take on it and CM's take on it).
Will call and wail after I watch whales. unfunny pun intended.
Nivi
p.s. I hope you appreciate my efforts at cryptic messages.
Ah yes. Back to the reality. Yes, service was slow and it was totally shave addi. Tried a pre-packaged variety of Hakka Noodles - didn't compare at all.
Btw, it is Poppy Kuda and not Kopi..:)
